Road and drainage improvements are scheduled to begin Monday, March 25, on Route 607 (Rocky Lane) in Warren County south of Front Royal. The Rural Rustic Road project is 1.5 miles long, between Route 340 (Stonewall Jackson Highway) and Route 649 (Browntown Road). The work includes replacement of numerous drainage pipes, grading and surface treatment.
Construction will take place on weekdays through late June and will occasionally require flagger traffic control or temporary road closures during daylight hours. Route 607 is a narrow unpaved road, and the Virginia Department of Transportation urges drivers to use patience and caution during the project. All work is weather permitting.
