Ward: Focus on prayers for ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair

Chris Graham

flairphotoTop Rope General Manager Marvin Ward issued the following statement on the health status of 16-time world champion “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, who was hospitalized on Monday:

“We’re still working with Mr. Flair’s representatives on a date to bring him to Waynesboro, Va., in May so that fans in the former Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling territory can see him again here in their backyard. But like the rest of the wrestling world last night, when we saw the reports online that he had to be hospitalized, our focus turned from having him here for a show to praying for his good health. Your health is nothing to take for granted. We posted a news item on our Facebook page last night, and literally hundreds of our fans filled up the comments section with well-wishes for ‘The Nature Boy.’ We want to join them in wishing Mr. Flair a return to good health, and then we can return to thinking about having him here with us later this spring.”
