Want a job with Abigail Spanberger? Good news: they’re taking applications

My life’s dream could soon come true. Per an email from the Abigail Spanberger transition team, I have a chance to apply for a job in the executive branch.

OK, it’s not just me, you know, with this opportunity.

The Spanberger team announced today that it has launched a transition website that features, halfway down the front page, an application portal for people interested in executive branch positions in Spanberger’s Cabinet, state agencies and the Office of the Governor.

I’m thinking … Minister of Propaganda.

Checking: bummer, no Minister of Propaganda job is listed.

“Communications team” is an option, but that’s a no-go.

I’m not a team player.

The click-through directs you to “choose up to four roles.”

I like that one of the options is “Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

Jason Miyares, as a last act, should file a lawsuit, before fading into utter oblivion.

In related news, the Spanberger team announced the leaders of the transition effort, including the folks who, I assume, will not be getting back to me about how I want to head up my proposed new Commission on Releasing All The Files That Glenn Youngkin Has Been Keeping Under Wraps The Past Four Years, Like, For Example, The Names of Teachers That People Called Into His Stupid Tipline.

I’m probably not the guy to lead that effort, but anyway, want to see those names.

The transition team is being directed by a bunch of people I’ve never heard of, so, not worth repeating here.

I’d encourage you to apply for a job or board appointment, though.

There’s actually a job listing for “Office of the First Gentleman.”

I can see myself hanging out with Mr. Spanberger.

He’s a UVA alum; my job could be, keeping him up on football and basketball.
