Virginia State Police investigate hit and run crash in Culpeper County

policecar3Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with a fatal hit-and-run crash investigation that happened on the evening of October 16, 2014 or on the early morning hours of October 17, 2014.  The hit and run crash occurred on Rt. 3 westbound just west of Rt. 620 (Yellow Bottom Road) in Culpeper County, Va. The crash involved a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The pedestrian died at the scene as the result of the crash and was located at the scene this morning and reported to the Virginia State Police. The victim is identified as Robert Lee Walker age 72 of Locust Grove Va.

The Virginia State Police are trying to location the driver and vehicle involved. It is believed that the vehicle involved is red in color and has damage to its left front corner area.
