Virginia men’s basketball single-game tickets on sale Oct. 4

uva logoVirginia has finalized its 2013-14 men’s basketball schedule and single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 4.

Game times are set for the following non-conference games at John Paul Jones Arena: James Madison (Nov. 8, 7 p.m.), Liberty (Nov. 23, 4 p.m.), Hampton (Nov. 26, 7 p.m.), Northern Iowa (Dec. 21, 4 p.m.) and Norfolk State (Dec. 23, 7 p.m.). All five contests will be broadcast online on ESPN3.

Single-game tickets will be available for purchase online at VirginiaSports.com beginning Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. Sales by phone and in-person will begin Oct. 7 at 9 a.m.

The Cavaliers, who finished 23-12 last season, officially start practice for 2013-14 on Friday.

“Our fans played a big role in our success at home last season,” head coach Tony Bennett said. “We have a challenging schedule in front of us and we’re going to need our fans support once again for every game at JPJ.”

Approximately 3,000 tickets are available for single-game sales to each home game.  Ticket inventory will be held for season ticket and mini-package sales in several upper level seating sections.

Single-game ticket pricing for Virginia’s home games varies by opponent and is available at four price levels. Ticket prices for the non-conference games against James Madison, Navy (Nov. 19), Liberty, Hampton, Northern Iowa and Norfolk State are $15, $16, $19 and $25. Ticket prices for the weekday home games against VCU (Nov. 12), Wisconsin (Dec. 4), Wake Forest (Jan. 8), Boston College (Feb. 5), Maryland(Feb. 10) and Miami (Feb. 26) are $17, $19, $23 and $29. Ticket prices for the weekend home games against Florida State (Jan. 18), Virginia Tech (Jan. 25) and Notre Dame (Feb. 22) are $19, $22, $30 and $38. Ticket prices for the home games against North Carolina (Jan. 20) and Syracuse (March 1) are $25, $32, $41 and $50.

Virginia men’s basketball season ticket holders for the 2013-14 season and current Virginia Athletics Foundation donors will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets in advance of the public during a pre-sale fromOct. 1-3. Individuals who qualify to participate in this pre-sale opportunity will receive an email with more information.

Men’s basketball season tickets for the upcoming season are available in four upper level price levels: $168, $219, and $347 and $444. Season tickets at these four price levels include savings of $105-$274 off the single-game ticket price. UVa faculty and staff may purchase up to four season tickets at an additional 20 percent discount.

Two mini-packages are also available. The four-game Weekend Package includes UVa’s matchups against Florida State, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Syracuse, and is available at four price levels between $75-$150.  The five-game ACC Rivalry Package consists of the Cavaliers’ games against Wake Forest, North Carolina, Boston College, Maryland and Miami. ACC Rivalry Packages are available at four price levels between $85-$150.

Tickets can be purchased online at VirginiaSports.com. In-person or telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821) or in-person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium.

The men’s basketball Meet the Team Day is Sunday, Sept. 29 from 4-5:30 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena.  Admission and parking area for this event are free.
