Virginia Baseball: 10-game mini-packages go on sale Monday

uva-baseballTen-game mini-packages and single-game tickets for the 2016 Virginia Baseball season go on sale Monday (Jan. 4) through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office.

The 10-game mini-Package gives fans to select the 10 games that best fit their schedule while saving up to 50 percent off single-game ticket prices. Reserved seat 10-game mini-packages are $50 while General Admission 10-game mini-packages are $40. Reserved seating is available in the left field bleachers (sections G-L). General Admission seating is available in the right field bleachers (sections M-R) as well as on the hill and standing room only areas of Davenport Field.

The Cavaliers’ home schedule includes weekend series against East Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

Fans may purchase season tickets, 10-Game mini-packages and single-game tickets online at VirginiaSports.com/tickets or through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for in-person or telephone purchases. Telephone purchases can be made by calling 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821).

The Cavaliers open the 2016 season on Feb. 19 against Kent State in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The team’s home opener is Feb. 23 vs. VMI.

Coming off the program’s first NCAA championship in 2015, Virginia owns the most wins in Division I baseball over the last seven seasons with 342. UVA has won six regional championships and made four trips to the College World Series in that span.

Virginia returns 18 letterwinners from the national championship team and welcomes 18 newcomers to the program this season. All-America catcher Matt Thaiss highlights the returnees, while two-time All-ACC shortstop Daniel Pinero and 2015 Freshman All-Americans Pavin Smith and Adam Haseley also are back. Thaiss and starting pitcher Connor Jones each have been named 2016 Preseason All-Americans.
