VDOT invites comments on Hillsdale Drive environmental report

road-work-headerPublic comment is welcomed through Thursday, Jan. 7 on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) re-evaluation report for the Hillsdale Drive Extended project, which was completed to ensure compliance with current regulations.

The original comment deadline was Dec. 30, but to increase convenience for the public, the comment window was extended into early January. The NEPA re-evaluation document is published at Route29Solutions.org and is also available for review at these locations:

The Hillsdale Drive Extended project is administered by the city of Charlottesville and is part of the Route 29 Solutions package. The new 0.85-mile roadway will connect the existing Hillsdale Drive in Albemarle County with Hydraulic Road in the city, completing a parallel road east of Route 29.
