VCU junior guard Marcus Evans (Chesapeake, Va.) is officially day-to-day, and available for postseason play, after leaving the Rams’ game in the A-10 quarterfinals with a knee injury.
Dr. Seth Cheatham has confirmed the preliminary diagnosis of a bone bruise to the left knee. The exam revealed no ligament damage and found Evans’ knee to be structurally sound.
Evans is listed as day-to-day and is expected to be available for postseason play next week.
“Marcus had an MRI this morning and met with our team doctors. There is no structural damage, and he is working with our trainer to be ready to play in the NCAA Tournament,” said VCU Head Coach Mike Rhoades.
