VCU shot 56 percent from the floor, made 11 threes and had 10 makes at the rim in a 78-60 win over Richmond in the Robins Center on Tuesday.

The win for the Rams (23-5, 13-2 A-10, NET: 29) is their seventh in a row.

A 16-2 first-half run pushed VCU to a double-digit lead on the way to a 49-35 lead at the break.

Richmond (10-19, 5-11 A-10) did briefly get the deficit down to nine in the second half with a 13-0 run capped by a Dusan Neskovic three that got the score to 63-54 with 6:13 to go.

Neskovic paced the Spiders with 16 points and four assists

The win gives VCU a half-game lead in the A-10 over George Mason (21-6, 12-2 A-10, NET: 65), which hosts Fordham (11-16, 3-11 A-10) on Wednesday in Fairfax.
