Papi was named a First-Team All-American by Baseball America, while Crockett was tabbed a Third-Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The two become the 19th and 20th All-Americans in program history. Papi is the fifth Virginia player to earn First-Team All-America honors from Baseball America and the first since Danny Hultzen claimed the distinction in 2011.

Papi hit an ACC-best .381 this season while earning First-Team All-ACC honors. He hit seven home runs and drove in 57 runs while spearheading a Virginia offense which hit an ACC-leading .312 for the year.

He ranks second nationally in on base percentage at .517, the second-best mark in program history. He also ranks 28th nationally in batting and 31st in slugging (.619). Papi drew 45 walks, which is sixth most in the Virginia annals. He was named the ACC Player of the Week each of the last two weeks of the regular season.

A First-Team All-ACC selection in 2013, Crockett went 4-1 with a 1.70 ERA and 12 saves this season. In 58 1/3 innings, he allowed just 39 hits and six walks while striking out 68. Of the seven walks, three were intentional. Crockett also was named the Most Outstanding Player at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

Earlier this season, Crockett became the first pitcher in Virginia history to record saves in five consecutive games, doing so from April 2-8. He has played in 87 career games, which ranks fifth in Virginia history.

Crockett was selected by the Cleveland Indians last week in the fourth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft (No. 111 overall).
