UVA fall sports broadcast schedule announced

virginiaThe UVA fall Olympic sports broadcast schedule was released Thursday as part of the ACC’s master broadcast schedule. A total of 29 Virginia home events and 14 road contests will air on ACC Network Extra, a dedicated digital channel for ACC sports which makes its debut on Friday, August 19. The digital network is available to users who have access to ESPN3 via WatchESPN and the ESPN app.

The ACC Network Extra schedule features six UVA field hockey games, 12 men’s soccer matches, eight women’s soccer matches and 17 volleyball games. In addition, the Virginia-North Carolina women’s soccer match on Oct. 2 will on ESPNU.

In addition, every fall ACC Olympic sport championship will be broadcast live on either a linear platform or ACC Network Extra. Please note additional events may be added at a later time.

The ACC Network Extra coverage marks the initial phase of the full ACC Network announced July 21 by ESPN and the Atlantic Coast Conference. Live streaming of Olympic sports will increase annually, culminating with 1,300 total ACC events when the linear network launches in 2019.

Fans also will be able to listen to live audio play-by-play broadcasts of all Virginia football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games for free at VirginiaSports.com. The weekly Coach’s Corner programs with Bronco Mendenhall and Tony Bennett also will air for free on VirginiaSports.com.
