UVA basketball ranked ninth in AP preseason college basketball poll

uva basketballDefending ACC champ UVA starts the 2014-2015 season ranked ninth in the preseason Associated Press Top 25.

Virginia (30-7 in 2013-2014) returns seven of its top nine scorers from last season, and adds redshirt freshman point guard Devon Hall along with a heralded freshman class that includes B.J. Stith and Isaiah Wilkins.

The Cavaliers are one of four ACC teams ranked in the preseason Top 10 – with Duke at #4, North Carolina at #6 and ACC newcomer Louisville at #8.

Last season’s national runner-up, Kentucky, begins the season at #1, with Arizona at #2 and Wisconsin at #3.
