uva-basketball newThe Virginia men’s basketball team will host the Pepsi Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage at noon on Saturday, Oct. 24 at John Paul Jones Arena. Admission and parking are free for this event.

Seating will be general admission and free parking is available in the JPJ surface lot and garage, University Hall lots and McCue Center lots. Gates will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the scrimmage.

The Pepsi Blue-White intrasquad scrimmage will feature four 10-minute quarters with a running clock.

Virginia returns three starters – All-ACC performers Malcolm Brogdon (Atlanta, Ga.) and Anthony Gill (High Point, N.C.) and guard London Perrantes (Los Angeles) – from last year’s team that captured the ACC regular-season title and recorded 30 wins for the second consecutive season. ACC Sixth Man of the Year Mike Tobey (Monroe, N.Y.), Marial Shayok (Ottawa, Ontario), Isaiah Wilkins (Lilburn, Ga.), Evan Nolte (Milton, Ga.) and Devon Hall (Virginia Beach, Va.) also return to the Cavaliers, who led the nation in scoring defense for the second straight season and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament under seventh-year head coach Tony Bennett.

Virginia men’s basketball season tickets are sold out for 2015-16 season. A limited number of single-game tickets will be available for the home games against Lehigh (Nov. 25) and Oakland (Dec. 30) beginning Friday, Oct. 23. Additional single-game ticket availability will be announced at a later date. For more information about men’s basketball tickets, call the Virginia athletics ticket office at 1-800-542-UVA1 (8821).
