UVA basketball: Junior Austin Nichols suspended for season opener

UVA redshirt junior forward Austin Nichols (Collierville, Tenn.) has been suspended for the Cavaliers’ two preseason scrimmages and the season-opener at UNC Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 11, head coach Tony Bennett announced Friday (Oct. 28).

Nichols has been suspended for violation of team rules.

Nichols sat out the 2015-16 season after transferring from Memphis.
