UVA basketball alum Justin Anderson put up career highs in points, rebounds and minutes to help Dallas to a key 103-93 win over Memphis on Friday.
The Mavericks (41-38) cut their magic number to clinch a Western Conference playoff berth to one with the win.
Dallas needs just one win or one loss by the Houston Rockets (38-41) with three games to go to clinch a spot in the 2016 NBA playoffs.
Anderson scored 19 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor, 3-of-5 shooting from three-point range and 8-of-8 shooting at the free-throw line.
The 2015 first-round draft pick also had 10 rebounds, three blocks and a steal in 38 minutes.
Anderson has started the Mavs’ last six games, and Dallas is 6-0 since his insertion into the starting lineup.
