New UVA Basketball coach Ryan Odom has been prioritizing toughening up his program’s nonconference schedule.
Odom inherited a home-and-home with Maryland from his predecessor, Tony Bennett, and added November games with Northwestern and Butler at the Greenbrier Tipoff last month.
Today, the news is that Odom has come to an agreement for a neutral-site game with Ohio State on Valentine’s Day.
Reports on this have the neutral site likely being Nashville, which, sign me up.
Odom also gets a game at Texas in the ACC/SEC Challenge in December.
I’m guessing he has one more game to play with, with the ACC having cut two games off the conference schedule going forward, to allow programs to upgrade their nonconference schedules.
Looks like our coach is trying to boost his NET, which, smart move.
