Update: UVA Baseball series opener postponed, DH on Saturday

uva baseballUpdate: The Virginia baseball series opener against Miami on Friday, April 12 has been postponed. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 13 beginning at noon.

First post: Friday, 11:36 a.m. First pitch for the UVA Baseball series opener against Miami on Friday, April 12 has been moved to 2:35 p.m. due to inclement weather in the forecast. The game had originally been scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.

As a result of the time change, the game will no longer be available on WINA 1070 AM/98.9 FM and WINA.com. However, the contest will still air on ACC Network Extra, available to authenticated subscribers of ESPN3 and WatchESPN. Links to the television broadcast as well as live stats are available on VirginiaSports.com. Fans can receive in-game updates by following the official Virginia baseball twitter feed (@UVABaseball).

Friday Parking

Due to an event taking place at John Paul Jones Arena at 7 p.m. on Friday (April 12), parking for baseball will only be available in the Emmett/Ivy Garage. Vacate time in the University Hall West Lots is at 5:30. Vacate times in the JPJ surface lot and garage is at 4 p.m.

Ticket Information

Fans with tickets for the game that cannot attend because of the rescheduled time can either: (a) exchange their ticket in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm., or (b) bring their ticket stub to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival or (c) exchange their ticket for a General Admission ticket to a Virginia men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and / or women’s basketball games within the calendar year based on availability. This exchange can happen through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in advance or at the ticket window of that facility on game day.
