UVA baseball concludes home schedule Tuesday vs. Richmond

The UVA baseball team caps its 2015 home schedule at 6 p.m. Tuesday when it plays Richmond at Davenport Field. It also marks the Cavaliers’ final non-conference game of the regular season.

Virginia-Richmond Series
Virginia leads the all-time series, 81-58-1, and has won 12 straight games against the Spiders. UVa head coach Brian O’Connor is 11-0 against Richmond. The Cavaliers earned a 13-0 triumph on April 23, 2014, in the teams’ last meeting.

Noting Richmond
Coming off a three-game series sweep over A-10 rival Dayton, Richmond has won five of its last six games. Reigning A-10 Player of the Week Michael Morman ranks first in the conference in batting average (.369) and doubles (21) and stands second in hits (72). UR is batting .285 as a team and owns a 4.36 team ERA. The Spiders are fielding at a .969 clip this season.
