Update: What’s the latest on Jeff Jarrett, Toby Keith?

tobykeithPublicists for jeff jarrett and country-music superstar Toby Keith neither confirm nor deny reports that they are involved in a project to form a new pro wrestling company, according to a published report.

Long Island Newsday reported on its efforts to get Jarrett and Keith to talk about whatever may or may not be in the works regarding a possible partnership in the wrestling business. Basically, the article left it at no news is the news, and reported on a series of tweets from Jarrett and his wife, Karen, about business meetings and a need for office space in Nashville.

It’s not hard to read into Jeff Jarrett’s public statements via Twitter that not only does he have something in the works, but that he also wants us to know that he has something in the works.

Keith, on the other hand, has had nothing to say publicly about anything related to jeff jarrett or pro wrestling.

Keith is the big player in the potential partnership. A Forbes article published last year notes that he has amassed more than $500 million in career earnings and that his business interests extend out from music to a record label, a liquor brand and a restaurant chain.
