Update: Missing Albemarle County senior found dead on Saturday

An Albemarle County man who was reported missing last weekend was found dead on Saturday.

Lawrence Thomas, 80, had last been seen between 5-6 p.m. Sunday walking to the mailbox of his residence on the 7000 block of Secretary Sands Road.

According to Albemarle County Police, Thomas suffered from dementia.

No details were given on where Thomas was found.
