Up and Away With Second Wind

AFP

secondwindlogoSince its inception just a few months ago, Highland Second Wind, with its blue kite logo, has become a recognized entity and the residents of Highland County are looking forward to each month’s calendar of events.

Second Wind programs are expanding and attendance is increasing each month.  The calendar for April offers a full line-up of opportunities to learn, experience, meet new people, and have a good time.   The new programs this month include creative writing, a chair yoga class, cooking demonstrations, and a travelogue to New Zealand.

Continuing programs are meditation, square dance, and exercise.  The success of the new vision of “a center without walls” has been due largely to the generosity of local organizations that offer their facilities as venues for Second Wind programs and the wealth of talented residents who are sharing their gifts and talents as facilitators.

With spring around the corner, extended daylight hours, and warmer weather, Second Wind will be adding new venues and programs to get people off the couch and out the door.
