United Way of Greater Augusta accepting applications for 2016-2017 grant awards

united way of greater augustaUnited Way of Greater Augusta is issuing a request for proposals to solicit applications for its 2016-2017 Grant Awards.

UWGA will be funding both existing and new programs, measuring outcomes, and embracing accountability.

To be eligible to apply for funding you must attend the Annual RFP Training to learn about the new content and components of the 2016-2017 funding applications.

This Training will take place on January 6 at 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm and January 7 at 8:30 am and 2:30 pm.

All organizations requesting funding must be represented at one of the trainings.

Due to limited space each organization gets one representative at the training.
UWGA’s Community Meeting Room; 24 Idlewood Boulevard, Suite 112.

Applicants are required to attend one of these meetings to be eligible for consideration for grant awards. Pre-registration for the communications meetings is required.

The purpose of these funds is to improve the lives of people in our community by supporting programs and services that are working to increase the capacity of area residents in the areas of education, income, and health.

The United Way of Greater Augusta partners with agencies through existing programs and development of new programs, by funding the programs, measuring outcomes, and holding themselves and their agencies accountable.

  • Eligibility: Eligibility for these funds is limited to organizations able to demonstrate proof of non-profit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • What are typical grant amounts? Previous grants have ranged from $1,000 to $30,000.
