The United Way of Greater Augusta has approved funding of $20,000 for Meals on Wheels services in the Staunton, Augusta, Waynesboro region.
This is the full amount requested in the grant application submitted by then SAW Regional Director Jenn Chestnut earlier in the year. This is also the same amount that they funded this program in the previous grant cycle.
We truly appreciate their continued support for this service that makes a big difference to so many homebound older people in our community.
