staunton augusta art centerThe Staunton Augusta Art Center announces new concurrent photography exhibits which open with a reception for the artists on Friday, August 14, 5-7 pm in the Smith Center galleries at 20 S New Street in historic downtown Staunton.

Hannah Scott is an emerging artist in Staunton.  Her body of work titled Local/Native features diptychs of area women in their “armor” of make-up and business clothes and an accompanying image sans make-up and  wardrobe.  Well-known area photographer Saul Harris’s exhibition is a retrospective of black and white images collected over his 25 years of shooting.

Routine gallery hours are 10-5 M-F and 10-4 Sa.  There is no charge to attend the reception or to visit the galleries and everyone is welcome.

For more information, call 540-885-2028.
