Tree removal work on Route 29 will finish Thursday

route 29Drivers on Route 29 in northern Albemarle County should expect additional lane closures tomorrow while a Virginia Department of Transportation contractor performs tree work near the intersection of Route 1575 (Austin Drive).

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., VDOT will close the northbound and southbound left lanes to finish removing a large oak tree posing a hazard to the roadway.

Motorists should keep right and expect minor delays during work hours.
