The news about the AEW “Dynamite”/”Rampage” show at Chartway Arena in Norfolk is trending much better on the eve of the opening bell.
According to WrestleTix, AEW has distributed 2,873 tickets for the show, an increase of 1,092 since our last report on the event on July 30.
The venue is now set to accommodate 3,735 fans, which is a big jump from two weeks ago, when AEW had the arena set up to accommodate 2,293 fans.
It’s looking like the company is expecting a decent walk-up Wednesday night.
The card for “Dynamite” features:
- The first AEW world tag-team title defense by the champs, The Young Bucks, in four months, with Matt and Nick Jackson defending against The Acclaimed – Max Caster and Anthony Bowens
- A TBS title defense by champ Mercedes Mone against former AEW women’s world champ Hikaru Shida
- AEW world champ Swerve Strickland facing Wheeler Yuta in a non-title match
- Former AEW world champ “Hangman” Adam Page Jay Lethal
- Orange Cassidy Roderick Strong vs. Kyle O’Reilly in a match to determine the first entrant in the AEW “All In” Casino Gauntlet
