‘This Is Awesome!’ AFP, Awesome Wrestling Entertainment partnering on web, marketing

Chris Graham

Augusta Free Press LLC and Awesome Wrestling Entertainment are teaming up on web and marketing efforts aimed at pushing the Virginia-based wrestling promotion into the big time.

“I’d guess you’d call us a tag team,” AFP principal Chris Graham said of the partnership, which has the Waynesboro-based media-services company in charge of the development of the new AWE website, www.AwesomeWrestlingEntertainment.com, and the development of strategies to get the AWE product in front of fans across the globe.

“That’s anybody’s dream in the industry,” said Awesome Wrestling Entertainment CEO Marvin Ward, who among other things is finalizing the details on a tour of Asia scheduled for later this year.

Ward feels that the sky is the limit for the AWE brand.

“There’s room for another player on the big stage with WWE and TNA. We know we can get there. I think the sky’s the limit for our product,” Ward said.

AFP has helped develop a new trademark catchphrase that you’ll hear the AWE Superstars and Vixxens and fans at ringside repeating with regularity: “This Is Awesome!”

The AWE talent roster includes former WWE stars Carlito and Jimmy Wang Yang, newcomers Vasaga and Micah Fletcher and women’s division stars Traci Brooks, Jazz and ODB.
