Staunton Augusta Art Center Gallery visitors are exclaiming over Phillip Nolley’s multi-media exhibition titled Standing before Gabriel. Many have said this is one of the best exhibitions Staunton has seen. Truly, it is remarkable on many levels: the artistic expression; the inventive techniques in constructing very large pieces of glass, iron, wood, paper and more; the thematic concept; and how each piece provokes the viewer to think and reflect.
Nolley will describe his artistic process during Supper with the Artist on Wednesday, October 9, starting at 6:00pm in the second floor lecture hall of the R.R. Smith Center for History and Art. Well-known gourmet caterer Eric Stamer will provide the food. Reservations are required by 5pm, October 2 by calling the Staunton Augusta Art Center at 540-885-2028 or via PayPal atwww.saartcenter.org. Tickets are $25 per person/$20 for members.
