The Staunton Senior Center Local Council discussed a number of topics at its Feb. 21 meeting.
Jenn Chestnut, director of senior services, introduced Joyce Nussbaum who gave a brief overview of CDSME. She also reviewed the annual reports, budget requests to Staunton and Augusta County governments, and assigned local council members two bits of homework … ranking VPAS services and completing a Strategic Plan Objectives review survey. LC members will meet Tuesday, March 12 to go over the survey.
Also during its regular meeting, local council received updates on the volunteer appreciation party, set for Sunday, April 7; the fall dance, scheduled for Sat., Sept. 26; and the Center’s corner store, which is seeking volunteer cashiers. The next meeting will take place Thursday, March. 21 at 4 p.m.
