A Staunton man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 6-year-old son.
Steven T. Decker, 24, was arrested as a result of the continued investigation into the death Wednesday.
Decker is charged with second-degree murder and felony child neglect.
Also charged in connection with the death is Decker’s girlfriend, Brianna T. Connolly, 19, of Staunton.
Connolly is charged with felony child neglect in the death.
Both Decker and Connolly face additional charges related to the possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Both are incarcerated in the Middle River Regional Jail.
