Staunton man arrested in church break-ins

JohnsonDariusThe Staunton Police Department reports the arrest of Darius James Johnson, 28, of Staunton as a result of the continued investigation into the break ins that occurred at the Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church located at 1614 W. Beverley St. in Staunton.

Johnson, who turned himself in to police shortly after yesterday’s press release, was charged with the following:

  • 2-91 – Breaking and Entering
  • 2-96 – Petit Larceny
  • 2-137 – Destroying Property

Johnson was released on a $5000 unsecured bond.
