Staunton Police responded to 600 block of Greenville Ave. at 3 a.m. Thursday for a report of an assault on an 18-year-old female.
The ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of Edwin White, 26, of Staunton, on felony charges of malicious wounding, abduction, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is also charged with the following misdemeanors: brandishing a firearm, distribution of marijuana, and resisting arrest.
White is being held at Middle River Regional jail.
