staunton virginiaThe Staunton Innovation Hub will be marking the ribbon cutting for phase one of its development project on Wednesday at noon.

The 32 N. Augusta St. hub will be a catalyst to establish and grow leading-edge businesses in the Valley. The goal is to align a core group of investors, tenants, and resources together in one place to create an entrepreneur ecosystem. This ecosystem will provide a home for businesses, incubate a culture of innovation, and redefine our workforce to match the needs of future enterprise.

“Well, I’d like to say that part of my mission in life is to let the world know how cool Staunton is. We want to keep expanding that, and I think the Staunton Innovation Hub really adds some wow factor!” said Staunton Mayor Carolyn Dull.

“The Staunton Innovation Hub is not just another place, it’s a community of brilliant minds, innovative thinkers and inspiring ideas,” said Christopher Wood, executive director of LGBT Tech. “When I was looking for a permanent home for LGBT Tech I knew I wanted it to be in a rural community like Staunton but I did not want to take on the expense of a traditional capital campaign to open an office. The Staunton Innovation Hub allowed LGBT Tech to have the right amount of space with all the amenities of a traditional office at a fraction of the startup cost. For any business or nonprofit, that is priceless.”
