StableCraft BrewingStableCraft Brewing in Augusta County held a fundraiser for the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center in July, and topped off the event with a $1,000 donation to the local animal shelter.

“As a real working farm, we support the animals,” said Craig Nargi, the owner of StableCraft Brewing and Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables, a working horse farm and premier event space.

The agritourism business not only puts its money, but also its heart, to that message.

“We have rescued three cats, four horses and one dog that lives with us at the farm house,” said Nargi, whose farm stable is home to seven horses total.

Nargi and his wife, Nikki, also recently adopted a kitten, Luna, to add to the mix.
