StableCraft Brewing makes $1,000 donation to animal shelter

StableCraft BrewingStableCraft Brewing in Augusta County held a fundraiser for the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center in July, and topped off the event with a $1,000 donation to the local animal shelter.

“As a real working farm, we support the animals,” said Craig Nargi, the owner of StableCraft Brewing and Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables, a working horse farm and premier event space.

The agritourism business not only puts its money, but also its heart, to that message.

“We have rescued three cats, four horses and one dog that lives with us at the farm house,” said Nargi, whose farm stable is home to seven horses total.

Nargi and his wife, Nikki, also recently adopted a kitten, Luna, to add to the mix.

About StableCraft Brewing Co.

StableCraft Brewing Co. operates on the premises with Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables, which opened in 2006 and includes, in addition to the working horse farm, a thriving agritourism business that brings weddings and conference events on grounds 30 weekends a year.

StableCraft produces craft beer literally from the ground up, with a hop yard that will begin with the planting of 760 hops, growing to more than 1,500 over the next year, with a head brewer on staff to oversee the production of 16 beers.
