Spoiler Alert: Last two names added to Elimination Chamber main event, plus analysis

Chris Graham

wwe-logoWe knew already that the Elimination Chamber main event will have Randy Orton defending the WWE Title against John Cena, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan. The last two names were added at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping.

Would you believe Christian and Antonio Cesaro?

Cesaro gets his first pay-per-view main event, which is nice for him. Christian gets an inexplicable push shortly after returning for the 100th time. Good for Christian.

Sheamus also gets a push immediately upon his return. Great for Sheamus.

Cutting to the title chase, this one comes down to Orton, Cena and Bryan. The speculation for the past couple of weeks is that WWE has been heading toward a WrestleMania 30 with Orton vs. Batista for the WWE Title in the main event, and Cena vs. Bray Wyatt and Bryan vs. Sheamus on the undercard.

Now we’re hearing some talk about creative considering inserting Bryan into a triple-threat main event for the WWE Title as the champ, which assumes some sort of cluster-eff ending at Elimination Chamber that The Authority will use as justification for forcing Bryan into the three-way title defense.

That leaves Sheamus out in the cold, but there’d be plenty of time to find him another dance partner before ‘Mania.

(Maybe Christian or Cesaro could screwjob him at Elimination Chamber? Just thinking out loud there.)
