Senior News: VPAS, CDSMP participating in study

cdsmp-logoThe Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with Westat to conduct a study of evidence based programs including the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) and Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP).

orkshops through November 2015 and VPAS will be participating in the study. To be eligible for the study, participants must be 66 years of age or older and not attended the specific evidence based program in the past year. Participants will be asked to complete a survey within the first 3 weeks of the workshop and again at 6 and 12 months.

Besides being able to participate in a study that may shape policy and provide reimbursement for evidence based programs in the future, VPAS will give participants a $20 gift card after they complete and return the first survey.
