Sixth District Democratic Party congressional nominee Andy Schmookler really, really wants to debate Republican incumbent Bob Goodlatte.
“We can all see what Mr. Goodlatte is up to. He’s hoping to run out the clock rather than get onto the playing field where the voters can see how he plays his game,” said Schmookler, whose campaign announced that it will hold a press conference in Harrisonburg on Wednesday to “throw down the penalty flag against Bob Goodlatte for delay of game. ”
Goodlatte’s campaign has said that the congressman will debate Schmookler and will agree to a schedule once Congress is out of session.
