SCC sets hearing on proposed electric generating facility

virginia logoThe State Corporation Commission (SCC) will hold a hearing in Richmond on March 14, 2017, to receive public and evidentiary testimony on an application by C4GT, LLC to build a 1,060 megawatt electric generating facility in Charles City County.

The company proposes to build the power plant on an approximately 88-acre site located at 3001 Roxbury Road in Charles City County.  According to the application, the project involves the construction of a combined-cycle generation facility configured with two combustion turbines and one steam turbine and fueled by natural gas.

The public hearing will be held in Richmond on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Commission’s second floor courtroom located in the Tyler Building at 1300 East Main Street.  Any person wishing to comment on the proposal at the hearing should arrive early and sign in with the SCC bailiff.

Written comments on the proposal must be submitted by March 7, 2017.  All correspondence should be sent to the Clerk of the State Corporation Commission, Document Control Center, P.O. Box 2118, Richmond, Virginia 23218-2118, and refer to case number PUE-2016-00104.
