habitatStellar One Bank recently turned the keys to a property in Staunton off of West Johnson Street over to Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity.

Pictured presenting the deed is Stellar One’s Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, Angel Negron.

Charlie Frankfort, president of the SAW Habitat’s Board of Directors, is on his right, and Tom Montgomery, chairman of the Habitat Fundraising Board is on the left.

“This is a wonderful gift to our organization,” said Montgomery, “We have forged a great  relationship with Stellar One Bank over the years, and this property fits in well with the efforts we have underway in the Staunton community.”

Plans for property are under consideration.  Hopes are to place two homes at this location, or to completely update and renovate the existing 1940s structure.

“Stellar One has always been a community bank,” said Negron, “and we plan to continue in that spirit.”
