2014 Gala Co-ChairsPlanning for the third annual Hope for Homes benefit is underway for the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity.  The date for the 2014 Gala has been set for January 25, 2014 and will be held in the Shenandoah Ballroom of the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton.  The benefit will join community leaders, benefactors, sponsors and philanthropists in an evening to raise funds and awareness of the local Habitat for Humanity program.

The optional black tie affair will feature a reception and a silent auction offering trips, special dining events, jewelry, original art and other available items for bidders.   A three course plated and served gourmet dinner paired with wine and dessert will be prepared by the award winning chefs at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel.

Highlights of the evening will include: a short program with remarks from families who have partnered to build or restore their home; a fun “live auction” features contractor services to the highest bidder; and music and dancing by “Joe Enroughty and His Royal Virginians.”  The Richmond orchestra led by Joe Enroughty will share classic Big Band dance music and contemporary selections performed by twelve musicians and two vocalists.

The 2014 Gala Co-Chairs are Brigadier General and Mrs. William Alexander, Jr. of Waynesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vames of Staunton.  The Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity fundraising foundation gala committee is planning the event and includes:  Mrs. Raymond Reed, Mr. Tom Montgomery and Dr. Sandra Curry, Dr. and Mrs. Tracy Aitcheson, Mr. Norman Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hausrath, The Honorable Ophie Kier, Mr. Thom Jennings, Mr. Vince Ennis, Mrs. Gloria J. Stump, Mr. Charles Frankfort, and Ms. Lynn White.
