Salazar, Indians shut down Orioles, 2-1

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesDanny Salazar and two Cleveland relievers were dominant Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Salazar (6-1) struck out 10 and walked one in seven innings, giving up a run on six hits.

Cody Allen struck out two and walked one in the ninth to record his 13th save.

O’s starter Ubaldo Jimenez got a no-decision for his day’s work, giving up a run on six hits in five innings, striking out five and walking six, throwing 107 pitches, 58 for strikes, as he struggled finding the zone with consistency in spite of the final results.

Brad Brach (3-2) took the loss, giving up a run on one hit, striking out four and walking one, in two and a third innings.

Manny Machado had two hits, including his ninth homer, a solo shot in the third, for Baltimore.
