Safe Drug Take Back Day

newspaper-headerA local event in conjunction with Safe Drug Take Back Day giving residents a safe way to dispose of prescription, over-the-counter and pet medicines is set for Saturday, April 27.

Augusta, Staunton and Waynesboro residents can drop off unused medicines to the Augusta Health Urgent Care building on Statler Boulevard in Staunton and the Walmart on Lucy Lane in Waynesboro between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Medicine should be in original containers, but please remove or mark out any identifying information.

The local effort is coordinated by the Staunton Rotary Club, Home Instead Senior Care, Augusta Health, the Staunton Police Department and the Waynesboro Police Department.
