Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway) in Albemarle County will remain closed overnight Thursday between Michie Tavern and Monticello due to several fallen trees.
Drivers traveling overnight Thursday and Friday morning should plan an alternate route such as Route 732 (Milton Road) to Route 729 (North Milton Road) to Route 250 (Richmond Road).
