RMH, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, is hosting a three-day blood drive Nov. 25, 26 and 27 on the RMH Health Campus in Harrisonburg.

rmhOn Nov. 25 and 26, the Red Cross Bloodmobile will be taking donations from noon – 6 p.m. in Parking Lot A. The bloodmobile will be located near the entrance of the RMH Heart and Vascular Center.

On Nov. 27, donors can give from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the RMH Funkhouser Women’s Center conference room.

The American Red Cross now supplies all blood and blood products to RMH.

Diana Padgett, M.D., medical advisor to the RMH Blood Bank, said that there is great need for blood donors during the holiday season.

“During the holiday season, it is important for people to remember to give blood,” Padgett said. “Because we get so busy, we often forget to donate this time of year. I encourage people to donate blood this year and think of it as giving the gift of life to someone in need.”
