Recently-graduated Richmond basketball player Terry Allen has signed a professional basketball contract with Egis Körmend in Körmend, Hungary.
A native of Houston, Texas, Allen becomes the 16th professional player in Coach Mooney’s 11 years as head coach. At least one graduating player has signed a pro contract in 10 of the last 11 seasons.
Allen spent his summer playing with the Utah Jazz Summer League team. He also participated in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in the spring.
This past season, he earned All-Atlantic 10 Third Team honors and a spot on the NABC All-District Second team after finishing in the top-15 in the league in scoring (17.3 ppg) and sixth in rebounding (7.7 rpg). He also chipped in nearly two steals per game and shot 49.2-percent from the field.
In his four years at Richmond, Allen piled up 1,491 points, ranking 11th on the program’s all-time scoring list. He also hauled in 782 boards, which put him fifth all-time.
