The University of Richmond men’s basketball program announced its nonconference schedule for the 2025-2026 season on Thursday, and it’s … not challenging.

Seriously, opening at home with D3 Southern Virginia?

Doesn’t get much better from there – the five-game season-opening homestand then has ECU, William & Mary, VMI and Gardner-Webb coming to the Robins Center.

The Spiders better be 5-0 after that murderer’s row.

“We’re excited about our non-conference schedule and having the opportunity to play before our fans, friends, and families at the Robins Center nine times during the non-conference season,” UR coach Chris Mooney said in a statement in the press release announcing the schedule. “Defending our home court and facing some very accomplished programs on the road will help prepare us for the rigors of our Atlantic 10 season.”

The highest-ranked team on the schedule from last year’s NET is Illinois State, which finished 21-14 with a 114 ranking in the NET.

The average NET of the 13 D1 teams on the schedule is 224.9.

Woo, boy.
