Richmond Police charge parents with murder, child abuse in death of 5-month-old

Richmond Police have charged the parents of a 5-month-old male who died last summer with murder and child abuse.

Jamel Bryant, 32, of Richmond, and Heather Hohensee, 27, of Richmond, were arrested without incident on Tuesday.

On Friday, Aug. 2, officers had been called to the 1000 block of German School Road for the report of an unresponsive child. Officers arrived and found the unresponsive child in the apartment. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
