billThe remnants of Tropical Storm Bill are on course to impact weather this weekend in the Shenandoah Valley and a wide swath of the Mid-Atlantic.

“Any place along the path of Bill to the Atlantic Coast will be at risk for street flooding, rapid rises along small streams, travel delays and disruptions to outdoor activities even though the forward speed of the storm will increase,” said AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams.

The storm is moving into the Ohio Valley today with a track that will push it through West Virginia and into Virginia early Saturday. The heaviest rain in the Shenandoah Valley is expected Saturday night and into the overnight hours into Sunday.

An inch or more of rain is expected throughout the area, with localized amounts of three inches or more possible in some areas.
