Red Wing Roots Music FestivalOrganizers of the fourth annual Red Wing Roots Music Festival announced an initial lineup of artists who will perform at the event, held from July 8-10 at Natural Chimneys Park in Mount Solon.

Acts already booked include Shovels and Rope, Steep Canyon Rangers, Aoife O’Donovan, Chris Smither, The Dustbowl Revival, Amy Helm, Yarn, Mountain Heart, The Black Lillies and The Hollering Pines.
More bands will be announced in the coming months.

As always, local favorites The Steel Wheels will host the Red Wing Roots Music Festival and perform several times during the weekend.

Held in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the family-friendly festival will feature 35 bands on four stages, with great food and the great outdoors accompanying three days of great music. Camping, kids activities, organized bike rides and much, much more will also be available.

Festival organizer Michael Weaver reflects, “As we grow and receive national attention, we remain committed to our vision for a family-friendly, environmentally conscious, roots music festival in the great outdoors. The response to Red Wing III was tremendous, and we know that Red Wing IV will raise the bar once again.”
