Real Madrid CF, called ‘’Los Blancos’’ is the most successful club in the world. The club has won 4 World Club Cups, 13 UEFA Champions Leagues and 33 La Ligas. Their impressive success has made them a leading club and the ideal destination for any footballer.

Real Madrid’s dominance can be gauged from a simple fact. They have won the UEFA Champions’ League on 13 occasions. There are no other clubs on the planet which have managed to win it more than 7 times. One of their best highlights come in the 1950s. The club created history by winning 5 consecutive European Cups. It is a special record which hasn’t been broken yet.

Nowadays, it is the dream of every footballer to wear the Los Blancos shirt and play at the Santiago Bernabeu. Many real heroes have played for Real Madrid over the years and contributed immensely to their success. Selecting the greatest players is not an easy task. So, let’s have a glance at those footballers who achieved a lot with the club.

Fernando Hierro

Fernando Hierro was a legendary centre-back. He played in more than 600 matches and scored more than 100 goals. At his peak, he was one of the top defenders in the world. He even captained the side in more than 200 matches and won 6 La Ligas and 3 UEFA Champions’ Leagues with them. Hierro was intelligent with his distribution, strong in the air and a good tackler. What makes him reliable? His free-kicks and penalty kicks are second to none. He remains one of the legendary players of the club.

Raul

Raul Gonzalez Blanco was the primary reason behind Real’s success in the late 1990s. The Spanish superstar spent 15 excellent seasons at Real. He played in 733 matches and scored 307 goals. Amazing, right? Raul also won 6 La Ligas and 3 UEFA Champions Leagues with the club. Being the first player to score 50 goals in the UCL, he always shined in the biggest matches. Raul Gonzalez remains the quintessential sportsperson for the world of football.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo was already a big star when he arrived in Madrid. The former Manchester United player has had some outstanding achievements with Real Madrid. He won 4 UEFA Champions League titles and played in more than 435 matches. The superstar has undergone a complete transformation as a footballer in the Real Madrid’s shirt. From a skilful winger, Ronaldo has evolved into a ruthless goal-scoring machine. It is safe to say that he has firmly etched his name in football’s Hall of fame.

Real Madrid Current Manager

Santiago Solari is the new boss of Real Madrid. He was a successful football player during his prime and played in Argentina, Spain and Italy. If you are amongst the lucky ones to have seen him play, then you must have had great fun. His ability to read the game at a different level than his opponents is perhaps what made him the new ’Los Blancos’’ manager. He is bound to shine.
